Envisioned by electrical engineer Julio Carlos Baumgarten, Garten was born in 1994 driven by the desire to transform industry through technology. Its first steps were taken with industrial electrical installations, but from the very beginning there was a clear vision: to deeply understand customer needs and deliver solutions that made a real difference in the production process.

          In 1997, this vision became even more evident. By closely following the rice sector, Julio identified a challenge shared across the entire chain: improving quality at every stage of production, reducing losses, standardizing results, and making processing more efficient. This insight paved the way for a historic turning point.

          That same year, Garten was selected by Coradini & Filhos Ltda for a bold project: to design and implement, in Dom Pedrito – RS, the first fully automated rice industry in Brazil. The success of this implementation was so remarkable that new projects quickly followed, establishing Garten as a national reference in industrial automation for the grain sector.

          Three decades later, the company that began with a sharp eye and a powerful idea has become the World Leader in Process Automation for the Rice Industry. But it didn’t stop there. Today, Garten also develops solutions for the coffee, sugar, and other industries, expanding its reach while maintaining the same commitment that guided it from the start: technology in the service of excellence.
