The Med-Umi is Garten’s grain moisture meter designed to measure, with high precision, the moisture content directly in the dryer’s flow. The result of years of research and development, it was created to deliver reliable and consistent readings, reproducing laboratory-level conditions within an industrial environment and without manual intervention.
The sample is collected directly from the dryer, maintaining a microclimate identical to the process and eliminating external contamination or handling-related variations. The sensor technology, developed specifically for grains, correlates temperature and moisture data to produce precise readings, with a maximum error of only ±0.3% when compared to laboratory analyses.
All information is made available through a control panel that displays, in real time, the moisture values and the grain mass temperature. Its advanced connectivity allows access to the data via the local display, authorized computers on the network, and a web interface. Communication via Ethernet using the ModBus TCP OPCVA protocol enables direct integration with automation systems, ensuring continuous monitoring and refined control of the drying process.
With the ability to measure a sample approximately every two minutes, the device records and stores data in an internal memory capable of holding up to 30 days of operation, with the option to expand. Reports can be exported in PDF and Excel, facilitating analysis and traceability. The Med-Umi combines precision, technology, and reliability to ensure that the drying process achieves its highest level of performance.
